I'm trying to make peace with females. I have had wonderful women in my life playing a nurturing role (obviously, I wouldn't be here otherwise) and I have had some good friendships with women who I find completely unattractive, but in adulthood I have found that most are hypocritical and judgmental and use men as proxies to bring more violence and exploitation into the world. I got pretty confused as a young adult, because I went to university and bought into the ridiculous notion that we are living in some sort of "patriarchy". On some level I understand that women must have human emotions just as I do. Many look to men for security or conversely for excitement. A healthy and well adjusted person will be able to find these things in themselves, but it would be nice to have somebody to provide reliable companionship and to take some of the cold edge off the world. Let's not fool ourselves, online dating is not how we imagined meeting a life partner. I have first hand experience with some real nut jobs from this site. I find it frustrating how many people on this site are into extreme conformity. A lot of profiles say "I am looking for somebody normal". Being "normal" is throwing away the precious gift of life. I have spent most of my life engaged in enriching and rewarding activities. If you are looking for somebody more engaged and motivated than the average Joe, but well balanced enough to stay true to themselves and not set unreasonable expectations you have come to the right place. Maybe someday we can meet in real life as real people not in an Internet fantasy. Something low-key such coffee or a walk is good for a first meeting. If we hit it off we can do something more adventurous.
