Easy-going, calm, positive, upbeat, intelligent, fun, dependable, honest, patient and caring are words often used to describe me--well, OK, as long as it is me describing . . err . . me. So, I'm still available! My interests: playing guitar, going to the gym 5-6x per week (I even work out sometimes while I'm there), board games (especially Monopoly and Scrabble, but you should know when I was a youngin' I once cheated and made up a word ("pexy") playing Scrabble with my Mom--it propelled me to victory (it was a triple word score), but I didn't feel right about it then (I do now, though), dining out, movies, the theater, going to the ocean or the mountains, hiking, meditating. Yes, I like sports--Formula 1 racing, hockey, football, are cool (NOT into NASCAR!). We must agree that "The Matrix" is one of the coolest movies ever made. I will totally be into you if, when we are watching an action movie, you say, sincerely, "" Hint: emphasize the word "stallion" . . . Along with musicals (except for like Phantom of the Opera), fabric/craft stores,the Oxygen channel and Lifetime network are my kryptonite--I think its best I stay away from all that. I will be devastated if Dr. Phil uses my profile on his show as an example of one that sucks, but I don't have the energy to worry about that now--maybe later, though! Ok, on a more serious note, I am low maintenance and enjoy the simple pleasures life offers--I am probably more of a homebody, as I love hanging out at home with my dogs, but I enjoy going out, also (desert hikes in the winter/hiking in the White Mountains in the summer, movies, live music at small venues, the theater, going out to eat, time with friends, are all fun). I am one who is very grateful for that which I DO have *** being unhappy about that which I do NOT have, so as best I can, I come from a place of gratitude. I believe happiness is a choice we make each day, that our happiness and security comes from within and that our lives are a direct reflection of our thoughts and the choices we have made up to this point in time. I do NOT define my value as a person, or base my self-esteem for that matter, on the car I drive, where I live, the places I go, my occupation or my stuff.I am self-employed, work hard, up early to hit the gym and then off to work, so my lifestyle is quiet during the week. I love my 2 golden retrievers (a hipster-doofus 8-year-old male and a 6-yr-old female), so PLEASE BE A DOG LOVER--THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! Also, it is GREAT if you already have kids, as I do not have any of my own.I am neither a player nor a serial dater, and I am long past the bar scene. Although I am happy on my own, there's nothing better than having a great woman in my life--it inspires me to be a better man. My goal is to find a relationship with one great woman who will end up being the one I will love passionately for the rest of my life. Although a great guy, I AM FAR FROM PERFECT (my Mom once suggested I get botox-probably still upset about the Scrabble game), and I always own my mistakes, insecurities and can say I'm sorry.
