Despite working in the Sales and Marketing profession, I struggle to market myself personally on this site. This is my first venture into this type of dating platform, so please bear with me. :)I am an independent, confident, career-minded woman. Over the past several years, I've chosen my priorities - my son and my career.-based company, with it's North America headquarters located in Reading, PA. I am in my 18th year with the company and sincerely love what I do. Travel is a real passion of mine, and with "North America" as my territory, this job has certainly afforded me the opportunity to explore. I am also a single parent to a 16 year-old young man. He's a high-school junior, avid soccer player, and a member of the local JROTC, aspiring to enlist in the U.S. Marine Corps. I am self-sufficient, and own my home, so I haven't felt the need to make finding someone to compliment my life a real priority. Turning 40 has made me re-evaluate my thinking. :) I do miss the companionship and the feeling that I belong to someone, and I am looking for someone who will appreciate me for the genuine person I am, as well as for my accomplishments both professionally, and as a single parent. I'd love to find someone who feels as lucky to be with me as I do to be with them. While I continue to focus on my career, all the success in the world isn't going to mean anything without having someone special to love and share it with.The late night bar scene as a regular activity does not interest me, but I could still enjoy a great dance club every once in a while. I can take my son fishing, then throw on my heels to meet friends to check out a new restaurant or see a live band. I am also always up for a day/night at a sports bar to catch a football or baseball game, or a soccer match. There is also nothing wrong with spending a night in, or on a picnic with a bottle of wine somewhere by the water. I love to cook and entertain, but I could use someone to help me perfect my grilling skills! In summary, I'm pretty much up for anything! As long as there are smiles, laughter, and good company, it's time well spent. I am a big believer that your appearance is a real representation of who you are and the way you approach other aspects of your life. I am not high maintenance, but I do take pride in how I present myself. It's also important to me that the person I am with feels proud when we walk into a room together. I would hope that person feels similarly about themselves, as well. Just to note, my favorite look for a guy for a night out is jeans with a sport coat and dress shoes. :) So, I suppose this wouldn't be complete without mentioning what I'm looking for in a partner: honesty, loyalty, respect, compassion, romance, pride in yourself, the ability to make time for fun as a couple, and have a desire to find that one special person. I am a busy professional who likes to play as hard as I work. Enjoy bumming around the beach, spending time with my friends and family, cooking out or having drinks by the fire. I love anything in or on the water- well not water skiing so much I'm terrible, think i'm too top heavy for it ;) I also have a bit of a "naughty" sense of humor. But I balance out well by going to church every Sunday....I heard there's a fine line between Saturday night and Sunday morning. I did check with a few of my friends on how they would describe me and guess they really do like me because they all pretty much said I am clever and thoughtful, & also pretty "for a red head" which i think is a compliment but am not really worried about it. I do have the smartest friends EVER :) I am a daughter, a sister & mom of 3 boys & in my profession I deal with hundreds of men each week- I work with auto dealers , so get ur head outta the gutter! I have a pretty good understanding of the male psyche Soooo, please don't hate mail me for some observations I've noticed about profiles. * I see lots of pics in the bathroom with no shirt on. I have never done this maybe it's exciting- I've seen myself naked it's not bad but I don't post pics online (ok 1 time in college don't tell my mom),* pics in the car (kinda looks like you're driving- in that case you're a ********) and no smiles i know traffic can be really bad around here but damn SMILE. It will not hurt you and if it does you shouldn't be online you need to see a doctor.* Call me old fashioned but if you have pic with your wedding ring on, that's not so great (maybe old pic) but if you proceed to meet someone "ONLINE" and are wearing your wedding ring when you show up..... do I really have to say anything more.
