About Me

First of all, I hesitate to call myself "Christian".. because it is such a negative and dirty word these days - I prefer to say that I believe in the power of ridiculous amounts of self-less love. Faith is very important to me and I long to be closer and closer to the heart of God - to know Him and to live like the example Christ set for us. We are called to be love to others, not to judge, and to accept people right where they are.I like men who know what they want out of life. Who have ambition and some kind of goal they want to attain before they die. I like guys who know how to laugh till it hurts, hold a conversation about almost anything and are willing to try new things. Also, I like guys who are curious, are willing to debate with me, who ask questions and don't just accept things at face value... I mean, where's your sense of adventure!? ;) I love the night and feel as though it makes most things better.. looking at the snow, sitting outside and listening to the sounds of the night.. I mean, most of my favorite conversations have occurred in the wee hours of the morn. Fall, in particular captures my heart in so many ways.I love to laugh, get lost in conversation, look at the stars, play!, discuss differing points of view, learning, seeking, trying to understand the Bible in context, to exchange stories and to share life. I strive to be a genuine person, to be honest, open and real. I do not like to play games in relationships (of any kind where dishonesty is a main factor) and would prefer that no one who is looking to "hook up" to message me... trust me, I am not the girl you are looking for if that is all you want, ;)I would have to say that the one thing that I cannot tolerate, is intolerance. Kind of an oxymoron, yes? I know.. but it makes sense. I despise hate and division and the refusal to understand others.I am pretty sarcastic and love dry humor. My mind tends to think of the most ridiculous situations and I loooove to have fun with that..I am super inquisitive! I want to understand everything that I can and my interests vary.. broadly..I LOVE movies, I feel that I was maybe raised by them.. haha. Music is also a passion of mine - many genres. I love dogs, camping, playing board/card games, trying new things, hiking, video games and so on. I have to say that I am something of a comic book/superhero geek, and pretty proud of it ;)I am working on my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, which is my biggest most important goal at present. I love psychology and people and serving others.. and I very much long to get to know people and hear their stories.. what makes them them.. you know?I am a work in progress... soul, mind, and body.. I am a *good* girl, which doesn't seem to matter to people anymore.. what ever happened to that? PS. If anyone out there is interested in getting to know each other - I will give you 1,***points if you know and listen to Explosions in the Sky.. Best. Band. Ever. For a first date - I would have to say that ideally I'd love to get coffee and get to know you.. or participate in something that would allow for us to talk while doing it - something kinda mindless but fun like bowling or games or a drink at a pub or whatever... I'm open to most things.Of course - this is all dependent upon shared interests and I am pretty easy to please, I don't need entertained.. I just really like getting to know people and sharing life experiences
