I have hit the age and the point in my life where I suppose I ought to "settle down," or at least find a halfway suitable guy to share my life with! Because I am a single mom, I am unable to frequent the bars or go out often in other adult settings to meet men. When I do go out, I have no trouble meeting people, but I have a unique knack for talking to the wrong ones (my friend Lauryn has *** to only talk to men that are the complete opposite of who I WANT to talk to).Aside from my devastatingly bad taste in men, I am an active, fun-loving adventurous woman! I love pretty much anything outdoors, including but not limited to: horseback riding, swimming, running, boating, water skiing, fishing, hunting, snow skiing and camping. I work in software development and am a mix of grammar Nazi and computer nerd, with a sprinkle of salesperson.Who are you? Someone interesting, active, fun-loving and kind. If you have children, great; if not, you obviously must like them or you stopped at the "single mom" statement. I think hobbies are important so hopefully you have a few of those as well!     hi all :) A bit about myself: My interests are listed above so I don't think I need to repeat that, but I'll add some more random facts: People generally describe me as shy (and I'm an introvert) but I love a good debate and can be really passionate talking about certain topics. I love 80's and 90's pop music and I've been to 15 Backstreet Boys concerts and counting. I don't understand the whole sushi and wine popularity on here? Couldn't care for that, I'm a burger/wings and soda girl, and I actually don't like coffee. I am also a gym member and go a few times a week to be healthy.I work full time as a program evaluation assistant at a non-profit organization whose goal it is to reduce drug overdose deaths and diseases. Eventually I want to pursue a career in psychological research. I plan on owning my own condo in the future. I like to spend time with my family, friends, and adorable pet rabbit who's the cutest thing. Rabbits are cool pets too :)Essentially I am looking for someone with good character, decent looks, some interests in common, and who lives close enough. I also prefer someone who plans to stay and live in NYC (I don't see myself living anywhere else) and isn't such a busy world traveler . At this point in my life I am looking for long-term potential and a serious relationship. Intelligence, having real conversations, knowing what one wants, and being down-to-earth are turn-ons. I still have hope to find that nice genuine man :) On a first date, or maybe it's more of a meet-up to see if there will be a real date, the most important thing is to get to know each other and see if there's chemistry, not so much where we go.
