1. I have a wonderful life, just missing a special partner to share our dreams, journeys and adventures with. Have a good sense of humor, (can even laugh at myself). Easy going and easy to get along with. Very rarely will you NOT see with a smile on my face. Two grown adult children (twins-son/daughter ***who make me very proud. Yes, they still live with me as they have put themselves through college (paying off debt) and I'm sure the time is close for them to fly the coop. My daughter never home always at boyfriends....4. Can dress up for the night on the town dining and dancing. Good steak and seafood dinner. Yummy! Or the theatre. Very versatile. But not afraid to get my hands dirty in a pair of jeans and tee. Campfires, I can build, singing 99 bottles of beer on the wall. Let's sing and roast some hot dogs and s'mores.5. Travel, very near or far, love tropical and wiggling my toes in the sand. Or, Vegas and seeing some good shows and throwing a buck or two in the slots. Camping, must be off the ground, no more tenting (want a comfy bed) but a fishing rod and some bait....here fishy fishy! And yes, can bait my own hook. Let's go dig us some dew worms.6. I certainly try to take care of myself but could use a partner to go for nice hikes, canoeing, kayaking with. Care to join me. Oh yeah, I'm pretty thoughtful too, I shave the hair off my back and chest (promise not to give you whisker burn). LOL7. Love cooking...make the best lasagne accompanied with candlelight/nice bottle of red...then snuggling sharing some popcorn and a good movie. Or pizza and a beer at a pub is always good. Some comedy shows: up my alley. Throwing horseshoes, bocce ball. Might even beat ya at a game of pool. (Fair warning: I'm pretty good).8. Enjoy all music...okay maybe not rap so much. But, can dance up a storm. And can sing a pretty good Patsy Cline.9. Whatcha see is whatcha get. I will always be open, honest and do expect the same from you. Were not kids anymore so I'm sure we should know what we are looking for. But, please be playful at heart!10.     Depending on the situation or activity, I can be low-key and reserved or high-energy. And, it's difficult to compare myself with others but I feel I'm in very good physical shape...I enjoy hiking, cycling (road cycling and rail-trails) and still use my cross-country skis. My preference would be to enjoy your company and get to know you while we spend time together outdoors...why don't we meet up to go kayaking, canoeing, hiking, or sailing together? (There are many rivers and lakes to explore in Pa.) When I have any free time, I prefer spending it outdoors or going to concerts. I studied visual arts in college and taught arts & humanities for most of my career.- June through mid- At some point, I would like to ..canoe in the Adirondackes, sail anywhere, hike in the White Mts. of NH, Shining Rock Wilderness Area in NC or State Parks in Pa., do some star-gazing in remote areas, and find time to draw/paint outdoors. I've had to be practical while raising my daughter and have stuck it out for her (in the middle of nowhere and hours from anywhere). Now that I can retire..or cut back to an easier part-time job, I will have more time to travel. I am seeking direction on this site (but, I wonder is this too idealistic or unrealistic?..).), enjoy the outdoors, learn a folk ***, and spend more of my free time volunteering. Music: americana 'roots', folk, world, celtic, swing/big band, some rock. Favorite recent songs: 'That's the way love goes.' (Shawn Colvin &; Ride). Books: currently reading The Plot Against America. Favorite books last year: The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America's Great Migration, Blink, Outliers. It's also nice to get together for an activity such as a hike.

    Thanks for taking a look at my profile...To be honest here, I'm at a point in my life where I seem to enjoy the "quieter times". That's not to say I don't like getting out, but more on that in a minute. I enjoy a night "in" playing cards or board games, watching TV or a movie, or even watching football or baseball if it's with someone special :) I enjoy fixing a meal together, washing our cars together....together just makes it more fun. As for getting out, I like to go to concerts, going to the local theater, an evening of comedy, playing putt putt, going bowling, spending time with friends, and I would love to ride on the back of your harley if you have one!
