One of my passions is cooking. I love cooking for large groups or a small intimate dinner for two. By nature I am a care taker and in the past has led to a one sided relationship so would love to be with someone who knows how to give and receive. To me intimacy is as much an asset as sex. Don't get me wrong I think sex is a vital part of a healthy relationship, but intimacy is and should be apart of daily living. To me a simple touch can be more powerful than words. I spend time working out. I enjoy eating healthily but not to the point of obsession.I am a lover of cats, dogs,(especially Great Danes, they have a special place in my heart) horses and exotic birds. I use to run an Exotic Bird Sanctuary and was very rewarding. I was a vocal major in college, therefore I love to sing and make music. I also play the piano and was the minister of music at a church for 10 years. I spent 20 some years in the Hospitality Management Industry however; I left that field of work in ***to take care of my ill father. He passed in July ***. I like to read, however don't do much of it. Although I do read a lot on current events, history, construction ect.Fav. movies: Color Purple, Latter Days, Mid-night in the Garden of Good and Evil (book is good also)many more... I used to collect comic books, but much like crack, it got to be too expensive. I still keep an outside interest in it, and occasionally download titles that I don't wind up reading. I've always loved Godzilla movies. This isn't likely to change. I'm a huge metal head and go to lots of concerts. This is also not likely to change. It's not just the metal with me, I also like rock and roll. Let's safely say it starts with the Beatles and goes on from there. I read a lot, horror, sci fi, alternate history, actual history, occasionally will delve into self helpy type books. I exercise pretty much every day because I want my clothes to fit me, and I've got a thing about sexy underwear. I just don't want to be embarrassed to wear it. Or to wear a speedo at the beach. Yes, I will wear a speedo at the beach, and yes, I will rock that mf'er. I have a decent job, it's not what I wanted to be when I grew up, but I can't complain, and they treat me well. Love going to the movies and hanging with friends, like to eat out, favorite kinds of food are Thai and BBQ. Like going on vacations, my ideal vacation is what I call the "History Channel") I enjoy good conversation and spending time with smart, funny people. I'm 46, always told I look much younger, and maintain a very youthful attitude towards life. That being said, age is just a number, but I'm not looking to get involved or spend time with immature or flaky people. I'm probably going to want to meet you at a Starbucks or something similar. I know by that point we've exchanged pictures, and probably spoken on the phone, but I've literally lost count of the number of people who send me a picture and then show up looking nothing like the picture. Not trying to be hater or anything, but please be honest in how you represent yourself, because I can assure you that I will do the same.

My hobbies are staying activity w/outdoor activities-hiking/walking/running,dancing, bicycling, yoga and working out, even the indoor spin classes. First, communicate and compromise w/ the other person (be flexible), yet a dinner or coffe date, follow-up w/ a walk/talk, a movie, a concert, at the beach, hike along a park trail, or just sit and get to know the other person, best done one-to-one w/o our friends to distract the 1st date. Let the cellphone voicemail answer my calls, don't text and be attentive!!!!, As they should be to me/us.
