About Me

Have you ever walked into a door and just as its happening, you think ***Wow, what was that?, 2) Hope no one was watching? Well, that's reality. And I have come to realization that, although I am ready to be in a long term relationship, I am gone so often the I best start at that word.....dating, first. I am striving to adjust my workload so that in the near future that I will be able to be here to develop that relationship. But to be fair, I thought I would state that. So as I circumvent the world of meetville, I am looking for dating that will eventually lead to a long term relationship. Of course, I am looking like everyone else for someone who fits my particular taste in multiple areas, looks, personality, brains, experience, family values and so many more. I have no recipe, just play it as it comes.% of the time (business travel excluded). I have been very fortunate in that I have gotten to pick my career(s), my friends, family (well, I'm stuck with them...try to make the best of that) and relationships. I use to be quite the outdoor person, but breaking a few footbones about 6 years ago has reduced me to low impact things like hiking and bike riding. I also realize that I need to adjust to the weather here (we don't have "cold" in CA). But I'm pretty flexible and open to try something new. I dream of a better world.....where chickens can cross the road without having their motives questions. Well...better is subjective, is it not?Hobbies - mostly at this time revolve around keeping my head above water at work as it is "busy" (that's my bosses words, not mind...of course, he also uses the concept of guaranteed long term employment). Hmmm, relatively normal except that I sleep about 3 hours a day, have a curiosity for chocolate with bacon in it, was once a General Manager for Chuck E Cheese (we'll skip the personality damage that did), usually bored at Mensa meetings, have two "useless" degrees and a fetish for redheads. Married,....been there, done that. Kids....ditto, except I like them. And like any other person on here with kids, they are probably the most important thing to me as well Midwesterner who currently spends time in my "home" Values and ethics...yeah, I got them, what about it....the food here is so good (I swear 90% of the food in CA is made of tofu....not that I have anything against tofu....well, actually I do). I will even eat vegetables!! So please share some of your favorite food places Hoping that I kept you entertained with my sarcasm until the end of this message. I think I share the same opinion as everyone else....someplace to meet, chat and get to know each other, a neutral area. Dinner, coffee, or a drink is fine....no pressure. I am kind of a take it slow guy, cause going too fast gets you in trouble (I think my mother said that).

Looking for: woman. In age: 45-55

I enjoy fixing up things around the house, target shooting, cooking, eating out and pretty much everything else normal (and not so normal) people do. The Spring and the Fall are my favorite times of year. My tastes in music vary widely, anything from country to rock but not much of a rap fan. I had 15 years in the fire/ems service. I'd love to find my partner in crime who will be my best friend as well as my lover. Someone who has their head screwed on straight but also knows how to let their hair down and act like a kid now and then. Lets face it, physical attraction is just as important as being attracted emotionally. No lies, no B.S. and no drama please.Hopefully you live within 30 min or so as I do have a career and also have 2 kids(my dogs are my kids)to care for. Hmmm, what else, its so hard to talk about yourself so anything you want to know just ask.Being a couple have asked, YES I do have all my hair.....??? Anything that allows us to talk and get to know each other.

If you're looking for someone reliable, family oriented, respects your commitment to family, and open to sharing new experiences I'm your man. I prefer positive attitudes, but must admit to enjoying some profiles that have a list of things that they don't want or aren't interested and then end with "I'm a glass half-full person."I am Daddy, first and foremost. I'm interested in meeting someone who understands that. My son is my favorite person and my favorite source of entertainment. I am very active in his school and volunteer for multiple events. I work out at least five times per week. I take Tae Kwon Do classes and help teach in my son's class- the kids are a riot and keep me feeling young. I also love being on and around the water. I've taken my son for some short camping trips this year. I'm also interested in trying new things like zip lining. The only downside was they wouldn't let me go any faster than 140. I'd like to do it again in some place like Daytona or another superspeedway so I can go faster.I've worked for the Federal Government for more than 20 years - civilian and active duty military. I'm fortunate to have a stable job with lots of flexibility. One of the best things about my job is that I get to work from home most of the time. I have done some writing as a creative outlet. I've published one short story in a small anthology and have a draft novel I've been editing. Here are some of the other standard bits of info:Food: Love seafood and italian. I'm also always open to a good Japanese SteakhouseMovies: A mix. I'm not bringing up ***because the movies have been a bit of a disappointment. Funny thing is that I catch them mostly on reruns/syndication.To prove you read this profile, describe your personality as an egg recipe. Let's talk a little first. I have a few ideas, but would like to learn more about you so I can pick which one would be best.
