About Me

Hello! I'm currently living in CT but my heart is with the ocean on Cape Cod where I grew up.A. in English then moved out to Western Mass to get my M.A. in Education and teacher licensure. I really loved living in that area and toss around the idea of moving back out there at some point. I liked the people there and the general easy- Half-way through my time at Umass life happened and I became a mother to a little boy who is now two. I finished my master's despite the pregnancy and moved to CT where my son's father lives. I am now waitressing here and applying for English teaching jobs, which hasn't panned out yet. I split custody with my son so I have him half the time and the other half of the time he is with his father, so I do have time to date but my son will always come first! Since I waitress at night I've sort of become a night owl and spend my quiet time after work reading as much as I can, drinking tea and working on art projects during my periods of inspiration. I may come off as serious at first but that's only because I'm a deep-thinker and can be introverted until I'm comfortable with a person. I'm actually pretty funny and have a witty/sarcastic way about me. I enjoy philisophical conversations/ good music/ live entertainment/ pursuit of knowledge/ spirituality. I love flowers and going out to a nice dinner, quiet nights at home, being comfy, etc. I'm looking for someone who is educated and ambitious, yet also who has the ability to relax and be silly once in awhile.     The greatest risk you can take in life, is to not risk it *** all So i believe if there's this attraction, this connection bww you and that other person, you risk it, throw aside all the "what ifs" n "but what about...."     Like a lot of people on here, I am getting tired of trying to meet people out at the bar, so I thought I'd give online dating a try. I like to consider myself a pretty well-balanced and stable person. Not to be too cliche, but I try to work hard and play hard. I am really motivated in my professional life, but I really value time with my family and friends. I love trying new restaurants, and would love someone to do that with. As much as I love date nights, I also like someone who enjoys going out with our friends for some good beer and good company. I'm a big IPA fan! One of my favorite things to do on a Friday night after a long work week is to open a bottle of wine and order in sushi. In my free time, I love to go to the gym, do yoga, cook, spend time with my friends and family, and read. I recently took golf lessons, but it would probably help if I went out and practiced. So if you golf that could be a plus! I love going to Fenway to watch games, but am also just as happy watching the Sox at a bar somewhere. I grew up listening to classic rock and Motown, but I also love singer/songwriters, and I am a huge country fan!
