About Me

I am an intelligent, warm and honest woman looking for the same in a man. I want to be able to talk to that special someone in my life about anything - be it politics, religion, (gasp!) sex...even if we disagree. I want to be told the truth, and think I can handle the truth...unless of course you tell me that the pants I'm wearing make my butt look big! I like to learn new things, and I like to learn about new people. I think my friends would also tell you that I'm a good listener. What was that? Did you say something?I think my friends would say that I have a good sense of humor. I like to laugh and make others laugh. I like to be sure that the people around me feel comfortable and included. I feel that (appropriate) humor can break down a lot of barriers.I enjoy going to the movies. I mean, who can resist that popcorn? I enjoy romantic comedies, action/adventure flicks, mysteries, classics...about the only movies I dislike are horror movies and movies about the occult. Other than that...bring it on! I also enjoy going to concerts, musicals, and plays. It sure would be nice to find someone who would want to go along.I love to dance, but don't get the chance much anymore. As for my taste in music, I am very flexible. About the only thing I don't enjoy listening to is acid rock and rap. Other than that, I'm willing to try your music on for size, if you'll listen to mine! I want to meet a man who loves the Lord. I am active in my local parish. I sing in the choir and I play multiple musical *** my church is important to me.I have spent the last year getting myself healthy. I now work out ***times a week (but guys...come on! I could use some help with my upper body strength!) LOL! I like to think that I've learned how to eat healthy stuff, but it's a work in progress...just like me! I love to learn new things, so even if we have some different hobbies or interests, I'd like to hear more about yours. I enjoy walking my dog and engaging with the other dogs and owners in/around the neighborhood. My little one is 13, and we've been through a lot together! Now that you've read this far, let me say for the record that I am confused about the rules these days! Is it ok for me to make "first contact?" Some men say yes and others say no. I know you all don't fit into the same mold, and that makes things even more confusing! But we could have some fun unraveling all the mysteries, couldn't we? I enjoy romance, but you don't have to go overboard! I would enjoy getting to know you better over a nice dinner, and maybe some dancing afterwards - or a long walk or even a cup of coffee could work for me. You wouldn't need to be afraid to open doors for me or pull out my chair. I appreciate these gestures. Flowers on a first date would be a very welcome surprise.     Where do I start?? Okay starting over!!! Please no Game players!!! I dont have time for smooth talkers, I want a Real Man!!! Im a Hard working, Good Hearted, No Games, Kinda of Gal!!!     He's three hours away and what seems a lifetime ago. I'm happy for the first time in years and didn't know how much he had been dragging me down. My only issue is that I don't have a nice guy to hang out with on my days off.I spent the first few months here concentrating on my my new career and getting my state license. I'm now happily employed and love doing my new job.There is so much to see in this part of the state that I haven't gotten out to see yet. I'm looking for a nice guy who would like to take me out to see his special places. I'm willing to experience new things. I wouldn't mind touring on the back of a motorcycle as a passenger (hint, hint!).I enjoy cooking and spending quiet time at home. I like to play puzzle games on the computer and read historical novels. Thank goodness for DVR so I can catch on the shows I miss while at work.But I like to get out and listen to live music (old time Rock & Roll is my favorite) and dance. I'm not a great dancer and prefer slow dancing (stand-up make out). I enjoy outdoor activities and hope to find someone with horses.I have a great sense of humor and try to make people laugh. I like to have great conversations and learn about other people. Meeting for drinks and/or dinner. A quiet place where we can talk without having to shout.
