About Me

First about myself: I am intelligent, kindhearted and spiritual yet not religious. I am a progressive liberal politically. I do a lot of reading and enjoy the company of a person who is well informed in a wide array of topics. My two eldest children are out on their own and in their 20s while my 18 year old daughter still lives with me full-time. She is a senior in high school and is my right hand gal with caring for the alpacas. There never seems to be enough time to visit all of the places around the state. Other things that interest me include the arts, observing people, animals, bird watching, many different genres of music, geography, music, and much more. Life is a learning process and with each person that we meet and spend time with, each party gains a wealth of dimension to ourselves. Now about you: You are intelligent, kind, enjoy spending time in a rural area, you may be a cowboy or a country-guy, and you are definitely a gentleman. You love animals, nature and have a strong respect for all life on our planet. You give affection freely and happily. You are tolerant of all diversity and life. I do not expect you to be a carbon copy of me, as that would make life rather boring if we all looked at life in exactly the same way. I however would love it if you are on the politically liberal side and spiritual in a non-religious kind of way. A first date would be great as a casual meeting in a place such as a coffee house or casual diner so we can meet and see if there is a true connection. If there is no chemistry then I am always happy to make new friends as well. I firmly believe that best friends make the best partners in life/lovers as well.

Looking for: man. In age: 51-61

Let's get this out of the way first: if hanging out with a women who has a sore back and can't work away from home bothers you, please move along. Thank you.I'm back! Moi, Version 2.0...Now...Every year around this time in the colder climes of the world as the seasons begin to change, the leaves fall from the trees and the nights become unbearably frosty, millions of women are faced with the inevitable suffering inflicted by an all too common disorder known as “WTF Syndrome” ie. WTF = Where’s The Fun?!Forced to wear their socks to sleep, their only refuge from the frigid weather involves watching mindless teevee or sad old movies, belting out sappy love songs, crocheting yet another hat for some poor soul, wandering aimlessly through shopping malls, eating too many Oreos (which a study has now shown is more addictive than cocaine!), seriously pondering ordering one of those ridiculous Snuggie (TM) things from the Shopping Network, reading Fifty Shades of Grey to see if it measures up to their past experiences and scouring internet dating sites searching for... well...something more exciting than all of the above. Now you may be wondering how you can pull these women out from under this stifling melancholy that afflicts them so. They will NOT be compelled to join you in the typical winter activities that those who actually enjoy that wretched phenomenon known as snow participate in to make it through the darker months – skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, ice-fishing etc. No, these women are all about staying warm and dry – indoors. So, for less than the cost of what you spend at your local coffee shop in a month, you actually can have a tremendous impact on one of these women’s lives. Your contribution can make all the difference in the world. By just inviting one out for dinner, taking her to a movie, going for a nice drive to the mountains or regaling her with your awesome sense of humour, she CAN make it through yet another winter without succumbing to WTF Syndrome. It’s up to you. Don’t delay. These women are waiting for your call. Don’t disappoint them. Act now. You’ll be glad you did.*************To come to the aid of the shy, introverted woman in this particular profile, you should be: smart, gorgeous, fit, fun, honest, passionate, creative, open-minded, genuine, compassionate, free, affectionate, adventurous, have great energy and know how to communicate.- just 10 minutes outside of Calgary.) Something warm, obviously!

So much in my life makes me smile and laugh I don’t know where to begin to talk about who I am. I will take a stab at it…I smile and belly-laugh when I am with my kids. I never knew how much I would love being a mom.I smile at the sunset and being outdoors. I love being around, on, and in any type of water. Watching the waves come in while my feet are in the sand makes me really smile. Boogie Boarding like a teenager makes me laugh. I am lucky that I live close enough to the American River Trail and am able to walk or jog by the river often. I love good, fresh food and dream of one day actually being able to cook it rather than go out and get it. I love, love, love live theater and musicals – I am always tempted to sing along with the cast, but I resist until I am alone in the car. I had season tickets to the B Street Theater, but can’ I like seeing faces.I smile when I am blaring my music – all genres – and dance around the house. I love going to listen to live music and I love to dance.; Sons or Damien Rice. But, they change. I also like more quiet activities such as going to hear speakers and learning from their experiences. I think I just enjoy going out and experiencing new things. I make it a practice to laugh and thoroughly crack myself up.“thinking” type of comedy. I find having a 9 and 12 year old has required me not to indulge my appetite for more adult-like humor – at least when they are around. I laugh a great deal when out with my friends. I am very grateful to have them.I smile about work. I like being organized, busy, and flexible. A good day is one that I feel I made a difference, juggled numerous projects, kept my deadlines, and remained calm and kind.My ideal Saturday night….With my kids, it would definitely be playing together – a game, drive-in or bike ride. I love it when they have sleepovers and the house is full of kids and joyful chaos. I smile while I listen to how they interact with their friends and who they are becoming. I don’t get ruffled by much, except probably exclusion. Although, the high-pitch girl screams are quite a challenge for me.An ideal Saturday night activity for me without the kids (50% of the time) would be when I am out in a large group, with a small number of friends, or home alone with a good book or movie. It depends less on the activity and more on who I am with. I enjoy good conversation and laughter – very simple with little drama. Oh, and I love listening to live music or meeting new people. I like to talk to someone and see if we connect...over coffee, while on a bike ride, or taking a walk.
