I try to learn new things as much as I can. New hobbies, skills, etc. Lately I've been taking a lot of Groupon classes - pottery, painting. Next on the list is scuba diving and flying lessons. Also trying to learn how to play the guitar...though it's not going too well yet since I don't put enough time into it. I do play the piano, although badly at this point since I haven't done so in over a decade. I had classes growing up and played in the school band, if you can call it that.I like to travel. Try to take at least one major trip a year, generally around Thanksgiving time since that adds up to least amount of days off from work and the most time off overall. Last few years I have been doing Caribbean cruises. I like the idea of a moving hotel where you're in a new place every day. I also try to get away somewhere for most 3-day weekends, or at least parts of them.BOOKS: I like fantasy, science fiction and thrillers. My all-MOVIES: pretty much anything not overly stupid or gory. I like action, comedy, drama, and some chick flicks. All time favorite movie keeps changing, I think I'm more into the action phase now.SHOWS: I don't watch much TV. Mostly crime scene-type dramas and sci-fi, with a bit of comedy. I don't like or watch reality TV. It's mostly offensive and too fake.MUSIC: a wide range of things, but usually nothing too heavy and no rap. Most of the time I listen to indie bands, country, and occasionally top 40. I prefer the 80s and 90s music to most recent stuff. I like In Flight Safety, Pendulum, Sugarland, Zac Brown Band, Journey, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, and many others.FOOD: Sushi and Thai being favorites, I like almost anything....except onions. I have a strange relationship with onions. I'm not allergic, but I dislike the texture of cooked onions. I can and will eat them raw, but generally pick them out if cooked (or order food without them if it's an option). I love french onion soup, however..go figure. Also not a big fan of olives.VIDEO GAMES:(yes, I play them...occasionally)Mostly Adventure/RPG type, though some sports as well. And an occasional FPS, if it's really good (and I can make it past the tutorial level). Fable, Elder Scrolls, Dark Void, Mass Effect, Uncharted, Heavy Rain (until the whole finger thing...), etc.If I ever get to them, Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite are on the list to try, as are The Last of Us and Remember Me.

I like to sing, paint, and draw. I collect faces, kinda laugh now cry later or just faces that interest me. I like to exercise. I love going camping and fishing. I don't know how to rig my line that good so I might need someone to teach me lol. I would like to try knew things, I haven't had the oppurtunity for a long time. My schedule has changed so I have a lot more freedom now. I also like just kickin back watchin tv. I like all kinds of music. I am not a very picky girl. I guess it would depend on who it was with. I heard somewhere that it is a good idea to go for a simple drink and talk to get to know eachother better. If we hit it off we can take it from there and if not we don't have to sit through dinner together we can just go our seperate ways.

I'm a straight shooter and tell it like it is. I say what I mean and I mean what I say. I love to bring energy and laughter to any setting. My dry sense of humor and down to earth character seem to be a magnet to those I come in contact with. I'm a good judge of character and find value in people of integrity. I seek beauty from within. I'm loyal to a fault and protective of those I hold dear. Stubborn? Maybe just a bit...so I've been told. I tend to disagree though ;) I have an appreciation for real people. No games, no hidden agenda. Just be who you really are. That impresses me the most. Confidence is the best seller. It gets me every time. I see through the rest. I'm looking for someone with depth who can make me laugh but keep me on my toes from an intellectual perspective. I aspire to meet someone with integrity and character. Someone who places the value of one's soul above one's exterior. I'm a fighter at heart. I'm strong in my convictions so I need a man who's strong in his as well. I'm a lot to handle sometimes but I'm a great friend to have in your corner and a once in a lifetime kinda lover. For the men who send me rude, judgmental and mean spirited comments...My response: Save your bitter sourpuss attitude for band camp. I'm sorry if I remind you of the girl who got away in high school but don't take it out on me. That approach surely won't get you a point in my book. An entry message labeling me as a pretentious **** or a chick looking for a one night stand isn't going to go over well for you and only screams reject syndrome. Take your Kleenex and cry somewhere else. No sympathy here for the wicked at heart. In closing, ***holes need not apply. For those who possess the qualities of confidence, class and kindness - You're pre-approved. A quirky quick wit is a big winner as well. Also, intellect is a prerequisite. Good conversation in a laid back setting. Feed me ethnic food, make me laugh and you had me at hello...
