About Me

about me...well I'm your not so average country girl. I work hard and play harder. I'm currently working full time and going to school (nursing program). School has taken a lot of my free time but when I do actually have free time between work and school I like to go out and have fun. Meaning either riding horses, going to a bar / club, or a bonfire with friends. I love to hang out with my sister and my new nephew whenever I get the chance. So if you like what you see / read then shoot me a message.. but remember I'm not your average girl. Depends on the person. Probably a dinner or coffee is good to me.

Woman. 23 years old. Zodiac sign: Aquarius.

Looking for: man. In age: 20-30

Hello fisherman :) Who would have thought.. Online dating. A little bit about myself...I played college volleyball and it will always remain one of my biggest passions. Getting reacquainted with PA, I am pursuing my career in education. My family and friends are my backbone, however, I consider myself to be very independent and a little bit feisty. I must say I like the finer things in life, some may call me high maintenance. Music is a big part of my life, I listen to hip hop and r&b for the most part.cole is that could be a problem. If you really want to get to know me, please don't send me a message just saying hi, whats up be a little more creative. If in your mirror selfie you are taking the picture with a flip phone, I'm sorry but I can't even take you seriously. I love to shop, but I also love to lay around, I don't take things too seriously I just want to laugh and enjoy life, so maybe I can find someone to do that with :)

I'd like to be witty here, because I have a great sense of humour (especially puns!), but I'm better at being serious. I offer good personal and intellectual conversation; a hearty laugh; first-principles and big-picture thinking; simple sustainable living; and nerdery in the form of tabletop roleplaying, spec fic and non-fic reading, and good grammar.I’m an imperfect perfectionist learning to relax a bit! I’m a sincere, Christian, Master's student, intellectual, geek/nerd, environmentalist, liberal, food lover (eating and cooking), Canadian who lives from first principles. It's cliche but my small family is very important to me. If you’re familiar with the “love languages”, mine are quality time and physical touch/affection. In a relationship, it is important to me to learn how the other person feels/hears/receives love, and provide that if I can (and if appropriate). In my free time, you can mostly find me reading, writing, playing dungeons and dragons, attending live theater (the Fringe is my favourite festival!), being active in various ways, and learning more ways to be sustainable. My faith is very important to me. Currently I’m attending an Anglican church, but I started as a young child in a Christian Reformed church, then went to a United church, then went to (and confirmed in) a Presbyterian church – and I’ve found good things about all of them. Important to me in a church/faith community is authentic and welcoming community, thoughtful liturgy, good theology, and music that is more than just praise-band worship style stuff. I would hope to be able to church with my future life partner and bring my children up teaching them our faith (and hoping that they would choose to agree and follow Christ as well!). I’m a pretty liberal Christian but wouldn’t identify with the progressive movement because of issues like the physical resurrection (I still believe in it).My political views are pretty important to me too because to me they tie in with my Christianity, environmentalism, and feminism (not the “I hate men” kind – that’s a stereotype! The “I think the genders and sexes are all equal in value” kind). I’m pretty far “left” leaning and it would be great to share that with my life partner, but what’s most important is that we have both thought through our perspectives and respect and understand each other.…I definitely hope to raise a small family of my own when the time is right.I enjoy participating in squash, swimming, martial arts (kung fu), hiking, backpacking, biking, volleyball, and soccer – among others! I just generally enjoy being active.-1, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, among others.Favourite movies include: A Knight’s Tale, The Princess Bride, Serenity, Lord of the Rings, among others.Favourite books include: Ender’ I’m a pretty voracious reader!I’m turning 22 soon and have some decent idea about where my life is heading. Right now I’m just beginning a thesis-based Master’s degree in natural resource management (ask me about my research interests!). I've got some other hopes and dreams beyond that, but right now I'm taking life one step at a time.I haven’t said much about you…because I don’t know you yet! But I should say a couple things I guess…Dealbreakers: smoking, drugs, lots of hard partying, sleeping around, being currently married. Turnoffs: Listening to music at top volume, heavy drinking, lots of snowmobile/atv use (nature is best enjoyed intimately and slowly)Turn-ons: philosophy, theology, being well-read, geeking out (in moderation), sharing some of my interests, intellectual conversation, emotional openness and availability, willingness to be affectionate, liking red wine, getting along well with your and my family/friends.In the end, what’s important to me is that we can share a basic worldview and enjoy each other’s company. We can only discover that by talking and spending time together! I’m looking for a marriage partner but the foundation of that is a friendship. Lists are all well and good but when you meet the right person, I’ve been told that lists fly out the window. So, if you’re interested but unsure, message me. You never know what’ll happen. I don’t believe the guy should have to make all the first moves, but I have to say I do enjoy it when theirs is the first move. Or the second – because that means you’re still interested after getting to know me a little! We're all imperfect and the trick seems to be to find somebody whose imperfections and joys complement our own! On a first date, I'd like to get to know you and begin to determine whether we're compatible. The best way to do that is to go on a date that allows for conversation: coffee, dinner, a walk, a hike. I don't need fancy and I don't need creative, and I fully expect to come to a mutual agreement on what we'd BOTH like to do. In fact, I'm a student, so cheap is good. Artsy coffee shops and cozy tea-houses are some of my favourite places. Parks and natural areas are great too – doesn’t matter what the weather is as long as we’re dressed for it! We don't know each other, so meeting in a public place is a good way to start off. I'm new in town so if you have a favourite hangout, I'm open to it! I'd hope to converse about a range of topics, but I don't generally like smalltalk much - it's more of a necessary evil than anything. Getting right to the big ideas is more fun and more efficient!
