About Me

On the day I take my last breath, I do not want to look back with the regret that I didn't live a full life. Thus, here I am on POF; in search of the one who wants to share life's journey. Someone who is educated, romantic, mutual respect, easy-going, and someone who is comfortable to just be themselves with me & I with them. I'd prefer to meet someone the "old-fashioned" way & not through "tech-searching". But I'll give this a try for a while. I love to learn through continuing with various classes (ie:art, yoga,...), by getting into deep discussions. I do not discuss politics or sports, beyond the basics. I try to keep an open mind, & I hope you would too. I am friendly, social, & outgoing; yet I have a calm demeanor. I'm told that I put people at ease. I'm not pretentious, nor do I care for that characteristic in others (ie: if you "try" to impress me, you will fail. I'm not easily impressed by the trivial things, but am impressed by honesty & integrity). Being a girl raised in the South, I believe that "Manners never go out of style", which basically covers the Golden Rule -- Treat others, how you want to be treated. I love to laugh! So if you have a great sense of humor & enjoy playful banter, then you've got my attention. Do you like to cook or at least enjoy cooking together? Then you might just win me over! If you are interested in spending time with someone who is low-key, yet fun, let me know!P.S. If you are looking for someone to enjoy rides on your motorcycle; it's not me. But thanks for reading my profile. This whole "on-line dating" can be intimidating, to say the least. It seems to put more pressure on the 1st meeting (ie: "Are we romantically compatible!?!), unlike when you meet someone the old way & things naturally evolve or not. Does anyone else feel this way?! Therefore, a first date for me, would be one that would put us both at ease. Meeting for coffee and conversation, would be a nice start.

My motto is "Live, Laugh, Love". Life is too short not to enjoy every moment with someone you love! I love the outdoors; camping, fishing & boating. I believe family comes first and I spend as much time as possible with family. I love my dog and most animals. I love to sing, dance and listen to live music. I love a good thunderstorm with the windows open and candles burning! A great Bon fire is always so relaxing as well! Would love to find someone to spend these relaxing times with. I also love a good band (live) while sitting outside with a great group of friends and my guy!! :D Somewhere quiet and intimate where we can really talk privately. Learn more about eachother, then maybe a walk? If things are going well, maybe some live music and plans for date #2. ;0)Ice cream is always good too!

If your looking for a "chat life" NEXT! I'm a southern bell tomboy mix..I don't change tires, take out the garbage or carry groceries in. But, on the other hand I'll bait my own hook and get muddy almost anyday. Now that's it's spring, I just love taking my shoes off and feeling the grass between my toes!.......)...LOL....... That skill and the thrill of catching those crawldads.. all the while ready to move out of the way...real...real...fast from those terrifying snakes! It's just too much fun, especially when your there laughing at me everytime I flinch or scream... Then maybe, just maybe... while laughing...I Might Put The Fear Of God In You!...OMG...LOL..That's what I call fun!!! Even Though It's ***I Find It EXTREMELY Hard To Make 1st Contact Here!!... (Momma Would Have Killed Me If She Caught Me Calling A Boy) Wine tasteing?..........Wise man said:"If you find a man loves you for your faults, is willing to sacrifice his life supporting his family (which includes you!) and is completely loyal if not the most exciting man...hold on to him for dear life because it means he really loves you..." I am looking for the love of my life (marriage). I know I may never find him, but I will not waste my time in a "comfortable relationship". I'll know when he's not the one and never will be.....so I'm a firm believer in letting go. *She had to be special* I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort. I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children. I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining. I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly. I gave her strength to carry her man through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart. I gave her wisdom to know that a good man never hurts his woman, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfaltering. And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed. The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, her soul - the place where love resides. Me.... Stay at home mom. Married *** 3/4yrs of age wasn't pregnant...just ran off with high school sweetheart.. lasted 12 years...had 2 boys....Been divorced 12 years...all the kids moved back to Ky so here I am after 18 yrs in Ia. In the last 12 yrs I've had a few 1st dates...lol and 2 short term relationships...jus sayin... I know times are hard, but I expect a man my age to be a home owner and financially secure******
