About Me

I do not like talking about myself but here goes. I am 40 years old, divorced with one child ***. I work two jobs. I teach children with autism during the day and graduate school at night. With work and my child's activities I am very busy, but make time for my family and friends. I consider myself to be a happy and kind person. I am content with my life but I guess everyone could use companionship/friendship. I am used to being on my own. I am very independent but once in awhile it would be nice to have someone different to talk to or go out with outside of my normal circle of friends. I enjoy everything- I do not go to clubs-it is just not my scene. I do not like drama in life whether with family, friends, or a companion. I am easy going, kind, and honest. I like all kinds of music and enjoy writing song lyrics as a hobby. I have a good sense of humor and Im very talkative so I make friends easily :)

Why are we so defined by our jobs? Nobody seems to be interested in the important things, like the fact that my favorite color is orange, that I love to dance in the rain, that Christmas is my favorite time of the year, and that I believe in paranormal. Ask me *** I daydream about, and what my favorite movie is. These, after all, are the things that matter. When you’re out there looking for that perfect person, keep these things in mind - People change, no matter how hard they try not to. As you grow older you mature, and with each new level of maturity come different ideas, different needs and wants. The person who was perfect for you at twenty could be the person you hate when you’re thirty-five. You have to find some one who will grow with you, change with you, laugh with you and cry with you. A person who fills in where you lack, a person whom you can fill in for when they are lacking. But what about the perfect person, you ask? They do not exist. There are no perfect people, only people who are perfect for each other. You deserve to be happy not in the arms of someone who keeps you waiting but in the arms of someone who will take you now.- J. Fun loving, adventurous female with an optimistic outlook on life. I'm a pretty spontaneous gal and I'm into expanding my knowledge and life experiences. I've been married and raised two great daughters who I am very close with and are a big part of my life. I am interested in developing a new friendship and if the chemistry is right... take it from there. My musical tastes include Country, Alternative Styles, Rock. Meet for coffee or drinks or skydiving!

This is not easy to do without sounding generic! So for the sake of argument...let's say I have all those wonderful qualities everyone else has, at least one of them "to a fault" and my friends think I'm "da bomb". Bottom line, I'm back in the dating pool, but not because I didn't like being married...or have commitment issues...or am a head case. Sometimes, it turns out, you took a chance on love and lost - no hard feelings. I do have kids, and I do have them most of the time. So, if you don't like parks, playgrounds, camping, swimming, or going to the zoo, we probably won't make it much past a coffee date or two. But, if you think being a "Mom" is sexy and like to do the silly kid stuff, then let me get a sitter and meet you for a drink! Ideally, it would be outside. We could find a nice spot near the lake to sit and talk, or a restaurant, bar (or winery) with an outdoor patio for a drink or two. I wish I could think of some magical place or event that would make the first meeting not awkward and uncomfortable, but maybe if we're the right fit, anyplace we go would fit the bill!
