I’m a dork, plain and simple. I support and love those closest to me... I’m a big fan of comics and sci-fi... but I also love live music of all types... live sports... and conversations with intelligent folks. I don’t judge... within reason... and I like to take / believe people for who they are... you will always have my trust... until you lose it... not the other way around. I’d appreciate if you don’t abuse that trust. I may be accepting, but I’m not naive. On a separate note, does anyone know how this app works? Seems a bit counter-intuitive... but I’ve seen a few profiles that I agree with / adore. I have to say... slightly annoyed with all the chat requests... that don’t actually wind up with any chatting... I get the winks (I like your profile / pics, but not necessarily my type / interested...)... but why say you want to chat, if chat is initiated with no response? In the spirit of the season... I’m addicted to holiday movies (thanks Hallmark. :| )... here’s how minevwould play out... as discovered in a conversation with one of my best friends: A recent convo with one of my BFFs... Me: This year has been too stressful... I have no energy for the holidays... BFF: My building already has lights up... let me kill a damn turkey first! Me: ha! The Hallmark Channel started their X-Mas movies BEFORE Halloween! BFF: I know. F’n ridiculous. Me: All I wanted was to watch the Halloween episode of The Good Witch! BFF: No, I do not want to fall in love on my sleigh ride in the Vermont countryside in OCTOBER!!! Me: Well... I’d argue that you’d never want that, regardless of the time of year... BFF: True... sleigh rides, wagon rides, duck boat rides... thank you, no. Me: I could be convinced of a sleigh ride... with a good looking guy, with a too good to be true personality (but, no, really... he IS that good!)... and have all of my troubles fixed in 88 minutes. That sounds f-ing great right now. Might get a few cavities... but... 😉 BFF: With or without commercials? Me: Hell... for that? I’d sit through commercials... if necessary. BFF: LOL! Love it. Me: Come on now... I’m going to find love... a career that I can’t live without, that I never knew I wanted... even though EVERYONE else apparently already knew... in a charming new PERFECTLY decorated home in a quaint, yet quirky hamlet... and a perfectly FITTED wardrobe that I can somehow supposedly afford. Just leave out the moppets... unless it’s a quick trip to help out an orphanage or something. If something tiny and cute is needed. Fine. An adorable puppy from a shelter. Maybe a cat if it’s non-negotiable. I think that covers it all, no? BFF: Oh no... [redacted] is nothing but trouble. Me: Might have to throw in a long lost family or something... with an adoption scandal about 20 minutes before the end... that the new BF somehow knew about...but couldn’t figure out how to tell me... so I blame him as if it’s his fault... even though he was just trying to protect my feelings. BFF: Naturally.
