I think it's actually healthy to have some separate friends and activities and not lose your own separate identity in a relationship. I understand that everyone has responsibilities and ambitions, but please don't be married to your job. If your career has primacy in your life, it will probably be difficult for you to ever have a great relationship. I want someone who has time for me. I will try to state this tactfully. Being fit and healthy helps one maintain a strong libido. I think I am on the high end of fit and healthy for my age group and the physical aspects of a relationship are very important to me; hopefully to you as well. I prefer the company of people who are curious about the world and make an effort to understand it and keep abreast of current events. I wonder endlessly about why people believe and act the way they do. I have little tolerance for political and religious zealots or bigots of any brand. It's OK to be passionate about the things you believe in, but you should be also able to accept that someone disagreeing with you does not make them morally wrong or mentally defective. I think a little tolerance would go a long way toward making the world a better place. My personal philosophy is based on personal liberty. I believe everyone should be free to live their life any way they choose as long as they do not violate the rights of others. I know, pretty liberal for a career Marine...LOL I am more conscious every day of the fact that my healthy, active years are growing short. I try to focus on enjoying life now by maximizing the time I spend doing things I enjoy and minimizing time spent on things I don't. Fates willing, I will meet a great lady sometime soon and can maximize the time I spend enjoying her company. Finally, I believe that most great relationships begin with a great kiss. If the kissing feels right, everything else just seems to fall into place.
