About Me

A lifetime supply of happiness to the first person to allow me to delete this profile forever! What a DEAL!!I am extremely multidimensional in my interests and passionate in pursuing them. On the optimistic side this means that I can find something worthwhile in almost any situation or activity, but on the negative side my life isn't as simple as having one hobby to spend all my time on and be content. This trait has given me a broad experience base and given me the ability to fundamentally understand a wide array of different individuals and their personalities. On the other hand it can make it difficult for me to find people that understand the person I am because I don't consistently fit the generalized categorizations and heuristics many apply when getting to know someone. I can have the same amount of fun swilling a beer in the infield with toothless Joe at a race, drinking a half frozen bottle of water as I summit a peak, roasting marshmallows in the middle of the woods over a small fire proudly lit with a single damp match, stage diving through the pyros into the mosh pit at a heavy metal concert, shredding hairpin turns on a cycle, getting lost in the forest on a mountain bike... I could go on almost forever, but that would certainly get old pretty fast.I'm a true believer in personal responsibility and I have a baseline philosophy and set of standards that I live by (although I've been told that some of my standards can be too high). I don't know if I could change my standards even if I wanted to, but I do know that I have certainly never and would never expect more from others than I do from myself.I'm always interested to hear what people want to accomplish with themselves and helping them if I can. Whether it's as short term as "have fun tonight" or something more substantial like "I want to accomplish this … with my life". On the selfish side, I would like to have a person that has the ability and takes the effort to understand who I am a little. Also, I'm always looking for someone to come out on an adventure with me. If nothing else to witness the story when we get back.For anyone just looking for some wild excitement, I can run with the best of them (and yes, you can consider that a challenge). For anyone looking for an interesting perspective on the philosophy of life, I’m always ready to share and compare. For those that want to be able to look someone in the eyes and see that the person looking back at them has some essential understanding of who they truly are on the inside, I can’t make any promises, but I will always try. Some drinks with a bunch of repetative conversation describing some of your background... Much bigger fan of follow on meetings, but we have to start somewhere.
