About Me

Hello. So this is the part where I am supposed to talk about myself. It's hard to try put into words who you are but I'll give it a shot. I am at a good point in my life where I have I have two great kids, close family, friends, I love my career, and I would like to find someone that I can share that with. I think balance is very important in life. You need a balance of family, friends, career, and a relationship. If any of those are out of whack it throws off everything else.I love to make people laugh. I think that is my best quality. I come from a large family and we try to get together as much as we can, so family is very important to me. I also love to spend time with my kids. They are inteligent, funny, and talented young adults and I couldn't be prouder of them. My son is 18 and my daughter is almost 17 so I am enjoying as much time as their teenage schedules will allow which as they get older is more and more of a challenge but we do the best we can. I remember what it was like to be that age :-) They are almost grown now though so very soon they will be in college and starting on their own path in life.In the summertime I like to play softball, golf, go to Sox games, go to the beach or barbeque with friends/family. I enjoy working on projects around the house. There's not much I can't do with the right tools. I love to cook. I'm more of a neighborhood pub person than a club person. I love movies and live music especially Blues, Rock, and Country. I just saw my first Jimmy Buffett concert last summer and that is something that I'll definately do again. I enjoy nights out but I equally enjoy nights just staying in and making dinner with someone or curling up on the couch to watch a movie. I love to try out new restaurants. I also like to travel as does everyone else on here from what I am seeing on other profiles LOL. That's enough about me. Let's talk about you. You are generally a happy person and who sees the glass half full. You are loving, honest, affectionate, and intelligent. You are kind to others when you have nothing to gain by being kind. I think the true measure of a person is what you do when no one else is watching. You know what you want in life and are either there or have a plan to get there.     My friends ask me how I'm still single at my age and I really don't have an answer for them. I've had some long term relationships that just didn't work out but I'm still hoping the right one is out there. I'm a pretty outgoing, easygoing person. It's rare that I'm not smiling or laughing about something. I enjoy watching and playing most sports especially football, basketball, volleyball and hockey. Saturday mornings watching Husker football is just fine with me! I like live music whether its a local band in a small bar or a big act in an arena. I listen to mostly country and rock (got to have some 80s hair bands in there) but there's a mix of about everything in my collection. I like being outside and staying active, but a night on the couch with a dvd is nice too. Not a fan of horror movies but enjoy action, sci-fi and a good comedy. I prefer a little hole in the wall bar over a club and a good local restaurant over a big chain. I'm originally from a small town a few hours west of here and moved here after college. I'm still hoping to find that one person who makes me smile without doing anything. Somebody to share life with, celebrate the happy times with and support for the not so good times.
