About Me

Hello and welcome to the meanderings of someone who is faced with a big blank box and is told to write creatively about themselves. Now since I work with numbers, words aren't my strong suit. Still I hope you will bear with me and read for a bit.I've seen and experienced several things that I hope few people ever do. Still those experiences shaped me into the person that I am now, and I am darn happy with that outcome despite the process in getting here. Speaking of the person that I am now; I'm one of those dependable quiet people with a rather dry sense of humor that pops out at the most unusual moments. Learning of the world and other people has fascinated me for years. So I observe and yes occasionally comment about those observations too. A combination of working irregular hours and an innate shyness, make it difficult for me to meet new people. I find that I do better when I'm with someone who has a stronger personality that makes the effort to try and draw me out of that shyness. Somehow I manage to find time to attend concerts and fairs at some of the smaller towns in the region, remodel old houses, and attempt to play the guitar. Please note, that there should be a major emphasis on the word attempt there as I am by no means skilled at doing it. It is just something I enjoy trying without a lot of success. I've always been into music of all sorts. Although I don't really consider rap to be music. My hobbies change on a regular basis. For me it is the challenge of learning or getting good at some skill, not the hobby itself. Once I get to that point, I'm on to something else. Of course that does leave me with a lot of unfinished projects as a result. I am not a huge sports fan. However, if you touch the remote while I am watching the Chiefs play, prepare to draw back a nub! But if it is any other team, feel free to change the channel. While ultimately I'd like to find a long term relationship, I know those things don't just happen. In the meanwhile, I hope to talk to others who might share common interests.
