I'm originally from NC, but these days I feel more at home here in MN. I feel utterly blessed every day to be back in the Twin Cities and working at a job I love with good people and wonderful residents. When you meet new people and they ask what you do for a living, I feel it's important to be proud of your answer, and in this case I truly am.I enjoy ice hockey and running/cycling year round, though the running part is on hiatus while I rehab an injury that is oddly not aggravated by the hockey part. I'm also a self confessed foodie, so I'm up for just about any kind of restaurant, with the possible exception of Indian curry. I'm comfortable in any place from fine dining to greasy dive to my own kitchen as long as the food and company are worth it, so if you have a favorite place, let's go!) to see the World's Biggest Ball of Twine? I'd also like to find someone to help me explore our amazing MN State Park system, & maybe get back into Geocaching. Got a favorite hiking trail? Show me! Who's my ideal guy? Broad shoulders and strong arms are always a plus though not a requirement (you at least have to know how to hug), but really it's more of an intangible sparkle in the eye when you're laughing kind of thing that truly gets me. I'm pretty sure I'd like to get married again at some point, but I'm not putting a time frame on that. For now, I'd be happy to just find someone smart, kind, and funny to spend quality time with and see what happens. Seriously...There has to be a happy medium between "booty call" and "I already have the wedding venue booked." Please note: Your kids aren't a deal breaker, I just won't be having any of my own, for a variety of reasons.Bonus points if you are awesome enough to have read this far & send an *** don't mind chat requests, but if I'm using my phone that function doesn't work. I understand why so many people want the first date to be at a coffee shop, which makes for an easy exit strategy if things aren't clicking, but I'd rather do something more active that isn't so much like an awkward job interview. Ideally, something where I've got more than a coffee cup to fiddle with while I worry if I'm talking too much...bowling, bike ride, pool & video games at Dave & Most original idea I've heard so far? Pickup hockey followed by drinks. :-)
