About Me

I always find these kinds of things a bit awkward, but I know you need to know something about me. So here goes! I am a bit of an anomaly.-girl. I enjoy shopping and pedicures as well. Anyway, enough about "surfacey" things, let me tell what really drives me. I am a Christian and my relationship with God influences most of what I do. I am passionate about investing in the community that I live in, whether that means helping out a neighbor, or giving to an organization doing work in the community. I also value diversity and am committed to having friendships with people who are not the same race as myself. But beyond that, really wanting to be open to work out race, class and social inequities that impact people. Having deep, transparent, and committed relationships with my friends is important to me. I'm not serious all the time, but it really important to me to be with someone who shares some of these same values. I am looking for someone who strives to have Christ be their center and who would want to seek Him in our relationship. I know it sounds cliche, but I'm looking for someone to share life together. We don't necessarily have to like all the same things, but we do need to like spending time with each other.I've explained some of the things I like to do in the rest of my profile, so I won't go into a lot of detail here. What it comes down to for me, is that I am a social person and doing things with people is what I enjoy most. It could be anything from having a BBQ in my backyard, going for coffee, playing games, or going for a walk, so long as its with at least one other person. That is not to say that I can't be by myself. Its just what I prefer. I am pretty laid back, and am happy being at home watching TV or a movie, or going out. I do enjoy the outdoors, but I'm not a rugged hiker and camper. My favorite place to go is anywhere that has a beach. Watching the waves and walking on the sand is so soothing and peaceful, not to mention beautiful!Well I think that is enough for now. Other activities I would enjoy for later dates would be: going to a Blazer game (hopefully there will be basketball this year!), watching the game at a local sports bar like “The Spirit of 77”, having a picnic in the park, or going for a walk.
