About Me

Profile version 2.2 :)I am professionally employed in a career that I absolutely love and that challenges my brain on a regular basis;; own my own home (2 of them actually) and am pretty stable over all - although I guess that is also a matter of opinion to a certain extent. I became pretty complacent over the past few years in my personal life, but a series of events over the past 10 months has made me look at my life in a different way and I am now taking the steps in order to become 'me' again :) I like people around me who challenge me to be a better person, and who are okay to be challenged by me. Most importantly, I love to laugh and have fun...humour is an important part of enjoying the adventure. Things often do not go according to plan, can you laugh about it? I love to get away for weekend trips to the mountains, enjoy a glass of red wine and a good book, a movie or just really good conversation - with the right company anything can make for a great time. The opportunity to get away to some other country is always on the radar as I love to travel. I'm very close with family and friends, but always love meeting new people and having new experiences. I know who I am, who I want to be (a work in progress) and can even admit when I'm wrong...believe it or not! LOL I am a realist but yet choose to believe that the world is a great place despite some of the things that I see on a daily basis that might make me think otherwise. I'm looking for someone who can engage in conversation and can keep an open mind when expressing an opinion or a belief - I don't challenge belief systems, but I do like to learn what brings someone to various conclusions. Someone who is capable of being vulnerable and knows how to communicate their needs in relationships. You work to better yourself (and not just the body, but the mind and soul too). You know that relationships thrive on passion, but survive on communication. You are able to trust, despite being hurt in the past, and are still capable of opening yourself up to someone who earns it. You enjoy spending time with your friends and enjoy having some time for yourself. You are not easily angered. You care about others as much as yourself and still see the best in those around you. I'm TERRIBLE at making the first step in conversation so if I indicate an interest in you through the 'meet me' option or I add you to my favorites it's because there is an interest there on one level or another and I'm still trying to figure out what to say other than 'hi' LOL So, if you are confident, can handle some good-natured teasing now and then, and haven't recently stalked anyone then I would love to hear from you! I have no interest in one-night stands, FWB situations or serial dating thanks :) I'll leave that up to you to decide....as long as it's not immoral, unethical or completely illegal, I'm up for it LOL
