About Me

I am an earthy, outdoorsy type of girl that finds most of my pleasure participating in outdoor activities, and traveling wherever the wind or a whim takes me. While I could be happy living in a tree-house, I also enjoy the finer things in life as well.I can handle the city too, and clean up nicely when necessary. I am a well rounded girl who enjoys exploring new areas and soaking up the culture. I have spent several of the past few years studying ecological science focusing on Geology and Zoology however I am thinking of changing venues in search of a better suited degree program, so I'm currently taking a break. I have worked for the past thirteen years as a self employed glassblower. It gives me the freedom to work at home and make my own schedule which was crucial while I was raising my children as their dad spent thirteen years battling terminal brain cancer. (he passed away two years ago) I am thankful to have had the opportunity to support my kids during those trying times and think I did a pretty good job of it. They are my greatest accomplishment and pride of my life . I am not looking for a daddy for my children, they had one. They are grown now and my son lives on his own and is working full time and in college full time studying computer science, He is cool and witty and handsome (just like his dad) and a riot to be around. My daughter is smart and silly and stunning, and marches to her own beat just like her mom. :) She is a junior in H.S., and will have twenty three college credits by the time she graduates next year. If you ever want to see a mother gush about her kids I'm the one. lol We have been through enough in our lives to know whats important and whats not. We value our health and each others company and have no room for pettiness and drama. There are more important things in life than the material things everyone seems so eager to acquire, I have seen fortunes earned and lost and know that while it's nice to live comfortably I don't need to live excessively. Big houses mean more cleaning and less traveling. I have an aversion to cookie cutter stucco housing developments..I think I'm allergic to them lmao. I would rather live in a hut (not that I do) and see the world. I am hoping to relocate at some point to where there are some nice trees and water, and good vibes. (I like it here too, don't get me wrong) I am a bit of a silly girl with a huge sense of humor. I like to look on the bright side of life and can make the best of a bad situation. I am a good problem solver and don't usually get frustrated too easily, I like to find a solution, and move on the best I can. Its fun to look back on hard times or sticky situations and laugh about how we made it through it. I like to be able to rely on my man, and I like to be relied in as well. I am a nurturer, and sometimes in need of being nurtured back. Kindheartedness and compromise can go a long way. Open communication is key. I am affectionate and caring, and would like the same in return. I love to be taught new things and am an open minded eager learner. I take interest in yours as well as my own. On the lighter side, My one frivolous fantasy is to own a vintage "67 or older VW bus.Maybe even a shorty. I am a bit of a hippie, earth girl, lover of organic things. Some of my fave's:J. A...my daughter took my Ipod because it has better music on it than hers lol. Random facts: I collect vintage pachinko games, have three. I love antique/vintage shops. I have an old handmade frankenstienish type hand type hand puppet that creeps all my friends out and makes us realize I'm just a little bit different...I love it!!
