About Me

I am 27 years old and recently finished my master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. I have worked long and hard toward this this goal. Finally my life is falling into place just the way I had planned so long ago.-acute rehab. I love people of all ages, but I have a special connection with children (even though I don't have any of my own yet). :-) The most appealing part of my chosen profession is the possibility to make a difference in people's lives. Something which may seem so small could be unfathomably important and meaningful to another. Watching people struggle and work for even the smallest victories really makes me appreciate all of the positives in my own life. I try to remember not to take anything for granted because there is such a fine line between what is and what could be.I think I give good advice, and have a lot of insight, sometimes maybe wise beyond my years. Yet, at the same time I still make mistakes, but I'm trying to learn from them. Life is a journey, and the journey shapes the destination. Where you've been and what you do with your experiences helps to shape who you are as a person.I really enjoy any kind of creative activities. I used to sing in choir in high school, but now I mostly just sing to myself in the car. I have quite a collection of arts and crafts supplies everything from embossing, watercolor, oil paints, scrap booking, jewelry making, etc. I really enjoy cooking and baking. I have worked in a bakery since I was 17, and have helped my mother at home for as far back as I can remember.I'm smart, and am the self professed "Queen of Logic" but my ADD takes me down a couple notches.I'm very big on small gestures; I feel that the best way to show people that you care about them is by being thoughtful. But don't get me wrong, a girl can still appreciate being spoiled on occasion.I am a very caring and honest person, and am the happiest when those I care about are happy. I absolutely wear my heart on my sleeve. I hate being lied to. I would much rather someone be honest with me at the risk of hurting my feelings, than go on like an *** Sometimes I think I can be too honest, but that's who I am.I would definitely describe myself as a daddy's girl. My family is very important to me. They are so supportive and there is no way I would be where I am today without them.I am a dichotomy; I have traits at both ends of the spectrum, impatient and persistent, cautious and impulsive, seductive and sweet. Not everyone can handle it, but I'll keep looking till I find someone who can.PS Something I need to add.... If as I read through and find typos/improper word use... it makes my skin crawl. If you don't know how to spell a word, or do not use it in a proper context, don't. The easiest way to make yourself look stupid is to fail at trying to look smart. There is nothing wrong with using simpler verbiage, as long as it's used correctly. If you want to use fancy words, use them properly. If necessary, double check the definition or spelling. I do that occasionally just to be sure. There is no shame in being well informed and thorough. YES I do believe I might have slight OCD tendencies... take it or leave it! I'm a sap for the classic dinner date. However, I'm open to any sort of activity, going for coffee, seeing a movie, mini golf or bowling (FUN!).

    I love to play with my son, I like to read, watch movies, and just generally hang out with friends and have a good time, whether it be playing cards or board games, going out dancing, or even fishing. I know I am not perfect but no one is, and I am secure enough in myself to be strong enough to live everyday with strength and integrity, and thats all anyone can do in the end. I would like to talk and get to know the person I was going on a date with, so dinner in a quiet resteraunt, maybe a walk afterwards. Another idea is to go to an amusement park or The ZoO.
