About Me

Waiting for a knight in shining armor - will do if he comes in jeans! :)About me....First I would like to say that I love life, & I love my Country! I don't always agree with Politics, however, I'm proud to be an American. I love being with friends & family as they are most important in my life beside's God. I've been told by other's that I have a very charismatic personality, and I'm fun to be around. I love to write, & I love to bring encouragement to people who are hurting. I love to push my limits and I'm willing to step outside of my own comfort zone's. I have an inner strength and drive that somehow keeps me going, even when the going get's difficult. I try to always keep a positive attitude in life *** focusing on the negative things that can drag you down.I have a broad taste in music, however I can't stand most Rap and hard core screamer rock music, it just put's me in a bad mood. :) I love shrimp cooked just about any way except coconut shrimp, yuck! I have a great sense of humor, and I love to laugh because life is way to ((short)) to be so serious all the time. I am very independent and can stand on my own two feet. I would love to have a man in my life, but my happiness doesn't depend on me being in a relationship. If I'm not happy with myself, then how can I make someone else happy? I'm looking for someone who is adventurous to share my life with, it's not very fun going alone. I enjoy the simple things in life, and I believe that the best things in life are free. I came across a quote describing some of the best things in life, and this one really stood out.... Having a Good Laugh – "Laughter is the greatest cure of all. Life is extraordinary in the moments when you are laughing so hard you can barely breathe. These moments of deep laughter are divine in the sense that they cleanse your mood and set your mind on a positive track". No money in the world can buy that; even a simple smile can melt a cold heart! :) Now mind ya, I don't suggest having one of those deep laughter spells in the deep end of the pool! Back when my cousin and I were teenagers, we had one of those deep laughter spells while swimming in the deep end, we were laughing so hard we nearly drowned, and that is no lie! :)A few things that I am looking for in a man is someone who is cheerful and optimistic. Someone who likes to get out of the house *** vegetating on the couch in front of a T.V. all the time. Someone who has a positive attitude in life; one who see's his glass is half full rather then half empty. Someone who can still see the beauty in life even when things are not so good. One of my favorite quotes that I live by is that "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain. And knowing that the Will of God, will never take you to where the Grace of God will not protect You." Trust me, I've been through many many storms in my life. One last last thing.... I'm sure you noticed some Military pictures that I have on my profile, well there's a reason for that. I am an Army Veteran, I served my Country many years ago, and planned on being a lifer. However, my Career was cut short by an injury I sustained while doing my job. I have had 3 surgeries to fix the problem, but unfortunately I could no longer do my job back then and I had to take a medical/honorable discharge. Yes, this woman loaded ships, bombs, ammo, military vehicles, and even Tanks! I still miss being in the Army to this day. Anyways, I may not agree with these 2 wars that we are in, but I will always stand behind, and support our soldiers!!! So, as one of my picture's say's....if you don't stand behind our Troop's, then feel free to stand in front of them! I know it's a bit blunt, but that's how I feel about this matter. My life is an open book, I have no secrets. So if you have any questions, or want to know more about me, please feel free to message me. I promise, I don't bite. :)

Looking for someone that is funny, that can make me laugh, the person I can't wait to see. Someone that enjoys doing fun things but also likes a quiet night home. I am a very giving person and I will do anything for the person I love. I have a wonderful career, family and friends, just missing that special someone :)

The fairest thing in nature, a flower, still has its roots in earth and manure. - D.H. LawrenceFor clarification purposes...re kids...No I do not want more kids. I already have two of my own, one over 18 & one under 18. I don't mind dating someone who has kids, but I'm not looking to raise another family at this point. While I am looking for someone to bond with and form a loving and respectful and fun relationship, it appears that we still have to stick our necks out there in order to see who's there. You just never know who will be around the next corner. Sometimes it feels good, sometimes it feels like nothing, sometimes it feels like way too much. I am learning more and more to trust my *** regards to who is a good pick, who looks like fun, who writes well, who looks after themselves. Health and Wellness in my profile is a good clue gentlemen. Please don't waste our time (yours & mine) by contacting me a) if you've nothing to say, b) if you are too heavy for your own good (unless you want me to fix you up with a wellness program - that I can do), c) if you think it's cool to wear your shades in every one of your pics, d) sadly if you are not the least bit attractive. I think that I'm an attractive woman. I'm looking for an attractive man. I don't believe that's shallow...it's simply a fact.Hobbies...I love to garden, flowers, herbs, vegetables...love to grow and eat fresh beautiful organic food! I like to refinish old furniture like antiques or just a funky piece that adds character and charm to a room. My goal is to be wealthy enough to enjoy the abundance that God has given us on this Earth. I do love to travel and I especially love to be in Europe.I celebrate Mother Nature and love to be outdoors. I actually enjoy camping in a tent, fishing (have not tried Ice Fishing), canoeing, kayaking, hiking, nature study, bird watching, bee watching, love those fabulous walks in the forest, searching for water cress...could be I'll come across a cucumber to add to the sandwich... ;)Apparently I don't have a huge shopping list in comparison to some women's when it comes to men, nevertheless I know what I am looking for. I do find intelligence and intellect very attractive and it's right up there with a good sense of humour. No, sarcasm is not a good form of humour. Wit and charm are amazing along with a warm and inviting smile with good teeth. Stay tuned for more.... have to cook supper... Let's meet for a great cuppa coffee and if we hit it off, then we go for a smooth single malt scotch. Or I could be persuaded to indulge in a dirty Martini. And if all goes well still...at this point we would go horseback riding or something completely different and/or insane.I've been on one or two or three 1st dates lately and I've yet to enjoy a latte with any of my dates! It's definitely turning out to be the Scotch and Martini. Oh and yes there's been a beer...seems the thing to do I suppose. Those Martinis have been excellent! Might go for a coffee one day... :)This one was by far the most memorable first date ever: A play at the Shakespeare Festival - Outstanding!!
