I'm a little shy and awkward at first. I'm not a social butterfly but I'm outgoing when in my small group of friends.I'm single, never married, no kids. I didn't really think I'd be 40 with that set up but it clearly was never too important as I've had lots of chances just chose my independence *** life is good so far and I don't expect that to change. I have never been afraid to follow my heart. No regrets on chances I take. Now none of this is to say I don't like kids. Quite the opposite. I love kids and they love me. Just wasn't destine to have my own.I'm happy being out with friends and happy being at home. My two precious possessions are my scooter and my record collection.I love going to see bands. I like going to the movies. I love neighborhood adventures like BINGO at Void or summer Velo races. Heck maybe you know of some fun things happening around town. Scooting bare-legged is asking for a skin graft so hopefully you will find this ensemble amusing and not judge me nutty :)As to books, movies, tv and food...Books - I'm not an epic reader. My favorite book of all time is "Confederacy of Dunces" my other favorite book is "Phantom Tollbooth" and I give a copy to every kid I know. The last thing I read was "Black Postcards a Rock & Roll Romance." Before that I think was "Bossy Pants". I'd say I like Haruki Murakami but really it was just the "Wind-Up Bird Chronicles". I've started and never finished (and not for any good reason because it's a good book as far as I read) "Tin Drum" I'd like to finish that and should.Movies - man I will go to the movies any time. I love movies. Not fan of gruesome horror but funny/campy horror yes.Shows- like tv? I watch all sorts of tv. maybe too much. No reality tv EXCEPT "So You Think You Can Dance". I like mostly cable shows, I guess like Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, Nurse Jackie, True Blood, Girls, et al.Music- I'm squarely in the indi rawk/pop stuff. Up next maybe King Khan, Primal Scream, RFTC and Father John Misty. I don't go to as many shows as I used to but am usually willing, just not paying attention. It was once said and well, I think it's pretty accurate, that I listen to indie rawk made by skinny white guys made between ***. Among my records there is a large Cure, Stone Roses and Pavement collection. But I love music in general. And everything sounds better on vinyl (everything I listen to).Food -I have a VERY simple palate. (While this is funny it's a true and fair assessment) Fancy food isn't my thing. I like Americana, Italian, BBQ, Thai, Mexican. No fish. I repeat NO fish or any other sea creature. I figure even couples need outside interests so let sushi and fish be something you do apart from me :) Jesus, you read all that and STILL wanna meet me? Huh.. Ok :) For first meetings I would like to be out walking around and talking. They usually seem to be meeting in a bar, coffee and dinner and that's ok too. I just find I make a better connection if we aren't just sitting still across from one another.

    Hello :)So a little bit about me.... I am a girlie girl but that doesn't mean that I can't get down and get dirty (such as mudding on quads). I enjoy trying new things at least once... not that I'm a huge risk taker but I'm usually game. I do enjoy spending time on the lake during the summer and can be found laying out on the dock most days after work. I also love going for drives, walks on the beach, out for a nice dinner. Romantic things :) I do know how to snowboard but haven't really had a chance to go the last couple years so perhaps that would be something to do once the snow comes back. I really want to learn to surf and have friends who wake surf so I'm thinking this will be the summer I can check that off the list! I also love to kayak and go boating on the bay to watch the sunset. Being that I am girlie I do love shopping and spending time at the spa. And of course I do love to travel. My family and friends are a very important part of my life and I'm so very thankful for them. My faith is something that is very important to me. I try to live my life in a way that reflects this. God is number one in my life and I hope He is for you too!What am I looking for.........someone to spend time with and have fun enjoying things together.     …If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.I am down-to-earth, open minded and I don't sweat the small stuff. I love to laugh with my friends, and try to find fun wherever I can. I like outdoor activities, but how active I am really depends on the weather. Hiking in ***degree heat has never appealed to me; Wouldn't it be more fun to go on a hike that might end in a snowball fight? Or even better, let's dress up as zombies and chase the people who are running the upcoming zombie 5k!I love to travel as much as I can and I’m always planning some sort of trip. As a matter of fact, I'm planning 12 trips for ***! I recently accomplished my dream of traveling to all seven continents. Antarctica was an amazing trip… Except for that part when I dislocated my shoulder. (It was totally worth it.) So if a first date with you normally involves arm wrestling, I'm going to have to pass… for now. Can I get a raincheck?I am up to trying new things, as long as it's legal and there is a low likelihood that I'll die. Recently I've tried painting, glass blowing, and a curling class (you know, the sport with the rocks and brooms on ice - more fun than you would expect). I also want to try snowboarding, rock climbing, bobsledding and surfing in the next year.I don't really spend time in clubs - I find that I usually have more fun at a restaurant or lounge where we can eat, drink and laugh for hours. Going to Something Sweet (the dessert lounge) and playing silly board games while eating a slice of pie is usually more fun than a bar, and cheaper, too! It's great getting to know someone while you're both hopped up on sugar and caffeine over a competitive game of Jenga!I love animals, and I will slam on my brakes and swerve to avoid animals in the road - even snakes. I make good money and I have my own house, so don't worry, I'm not looking for a sugar daddy. I find myself attracted to a man that can make me laugh and doesn't stress out easily.-distance if you're awesome and you know how much work it can be. I would like to find a man that is honest, open, and can laugh at the craziness of life. Have you ever seen those couples who seem to be having the time of their lives just being together doing the mundane, everyday things, like buying light bulbs at Home Depot? I would love to have that!
