Mobile Marketing Manager

Meetville has an opening for a Mobile Marketing Manager.

This role would suit a current Mobile Marketing Manager or Online / Digital Marketing Manager with a broad background across Affiliate, PPI/CPI, mobile SEO, Display, and Social who has good working knowledge of Mobile and looking to focus in this area.

You must have excellent knowledge of the mobile landscape, proven experience in direct-response performance marketing, superior analytical skills, and possess a blend of technical and business savvy.


  • Define and execute the brands strategy for mobile marketing, across all relevant devices and platforms
  • Drive downloads of our mobile apps using established and emerging mobile marketing acquisition techniques
  • Increase user engagement with our mobile propositions to drive usage for both information and transaction
  • Drive the growth of the mobile channel within agreed revenue and new customer targets
  • Define our use of marketing agencies for mobile
  • Work with the Commercial and Marketing Directors to set return on investment guidelines for long term profitable growth from mobile channels
  • Work closely with other members of the marketing team to drive and influence mobile marketing strategies in other channels – e.g. CRM, SEM, Affiliates, Display and Brand & Offline advertising
  • Work closely with the Mobile Product Development team and internal & external app and mobile development teams to ensure that product development and design are aligned with mobile marketing activities
  • Source and implement “best in class” mobile marketing technology infrastructure
  • Lead relevant business development/partnership initiatives, with handset manufacturers or airtime providers


  • App download campaigns on Facebook, Twitter and other relevant platforms
  • Mobile SEO
  • Mobile PPI/CPI
  • Mobile Display (including in-app advertising and retargeting)
  • A/B Testing (Landing pages, user journeys, offers, pricing etc.)
  • ASO (App store optimisation) a bonus but not essential


  • Obsessed by driving marketing performance and ROI
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience of and comfort with working in a data-driven environment
  • Proven background of managing significant online marketing budgets and accountability for meeting revenue targets
  • Demonstrable, hands-on track record of using online marketing to transform online channel(s) revenue and customer acquisition
  • Strong understanding of the core disciplines of online marketing (PPI/CPI, mobile SEO, affiliates, online display & social ) in an e-commerce environment
  • Evidence of influencing and challenging key business decisions at department level and cross functionally
  • Proven track record in online marketing, with mobile marketing a focus from a competitive online business
  • Excellent understanding of web and mobile analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, KISSmetrics, Woopra)
  • Able to simultaneously lead and develop the overall mobile marketing strategy whilst also executing it
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills across functions within and beyond marketing
  • Able to deliver under pressure
  • Comfortable working in a fast changing environment
  • Team player who can see how online marketing operates within a broader marketing strategy


This role is key to the company’s future growth. As such, the incumbent will partner closely with team members in the following departments:

  • Mobile Ad Agencies
  • Product
  • IT
  • Legal
  • Analytics


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Communications, Mathematics, Economics or a related field of study
  • 3+ years proven experience: Marketing analytics, account management, direct response media buying within mobile marketing field. 3+ years of experience in media, advertising, or marketing (within the mobile space is bonus)
  • Strong analytical skills (spreadsheet mastery a must, database experience is a bonus)
  • Familiarity of the mobile landscape & trends
  • Strong mobile advertising and mobile landscape knowledge
  • Proficiency with online tracking/ reporting systems
  • Proven hands-on campaign management working towards ROI/CPI targets
  • Excellent communication skills. Fluent in English – written and spoken
  • Aptitude to operate and thrive in a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment
  • A professional ‘get it done’ attitude and work ethic


  • Mobile advertising, rich media advertising and mobile payments experience a plus
  • Understanding of online/mobile media fundamentals (how media is bought and sold, pricing models, ad effectiveness)
  • Entrepreneurial spirit / ability to try different things with minimal direction
  • Experience in marketing to the unbanked and underbanked market
