People Deny Using Escort, but Numbers Say Otherwise

Escort industries are growing very rapidly but do people really use them? This topic was addressed by a poll, conducted by Pair (dating app to find the right person) between 3/3/14 and 9/2/14.

People were asked: “Have you ever hired a male or female escort?” A vast majority of 84% denied using this service.

Participants numbered 120,206. From the USA – 47%, from Canada – 5%, from Britain – 12%, from Australia – 7% and from other countries – 29%.

Roving Husband, a commentator on heterosexual matters, writes: “The use of escorts is something that society does not like to discuss, so misconceptions abound. If you listen to what people say, you would think that none use sexual escorts. But when you look at the numbers, it emerges that a substantial proportion of them do in fact use sexual escorts. Perhaps the use of escorts was not always so widespread. Nowadays the internet and cellphones make visits much easier to arrange, and kept secret.”

It is shocking that out of those who confessed to using escort, 91% were males and only 9% were females.

Alex Cusper, a Pair service analyst, states that although “Men who use escort services are sometimes judged by the society, it is mostly women who are judged more harshly. This may be the reason they’re afraid to confess to using the service. Nevertheless, the numbers certainly show that use of male escorts as well as female is on the rise today.”
