How Many People Delete Profiles After Finding Love?

Americans prefer not to meet new potential partners while dating somebody. This fact was highlighted by Pair (dating app to find the right person) in a poll conducted between 8/20/14 and 11/3/14.

In the poll people were asked: "Should you remove your profile while dating?" 60% of people prefer to be fully concentrated on one partner and remove their profiles from dating services.

The survey polled 50,700 people. From the USA — 53%, from Canada 4%, from Britain — 12%, Australia — 7% and other countries — 24%.

Famous blogger Evan Marc Katz points out the most common reasons why women usually don't take down their profiles: "The first reason: She's playing it cool and trying not to act needy. She's waiting for you to make a commitment to be a boyfriend. The second reason: She's just not that into you."

Interesting that the survey also aroused genuine interest among male users of the service. The statistics look as follows: the answer "Yes" was chosen by 75% of men and 25% of women. Those 40% of voters who chose "No" break down as: 78% male and 22% female.

Alex Cusper, Pair service analyst, thinks that there is no specific length of time people should wait before deleting their profile, as every relationship is unique. We all need a different amount of time to understand whether a person is the one and whether we are ready to start a new serious relationship.
